GCSE Results 2015 GCSE Results 2015 20/08/2015 The staff and Governors of Hind Leys College are thrilled to be celebrating another fantastic year of GCSE results. Against the background of another year of significant national change and turbulence, Hind Leys students and teachers have once again proved how resilient and talented they are. Of particular note this year are the incredible achievements of Josh Rutt (4A*, 6A), Charlotte Pedley (4A*, 6A), Heather Jones (5A*, 5A), Carl Grevel (7A*, 3A), Jack Cooling (9A, 1B), Iona Taylor (2A*, 7A, 1B), Alex Callender (1A*, 7A, 2B), Amber Brierley (1A*, 6A, 2B), Beth Pass (6A*, 1 Distinction*, 2A, 1B) and Ewan Potter (3A*, 6A, 1B). Once again we can identify some very strong subject performance across the curriculum. Some key headlines of note are: · Nearly 70% of students achieved 5 or more A* – C · 1 in 5 of all grades were A or A* · Students performed incredibly well in English and Maths. · English results for 2015 being a record year for Hind Leys. · Nearly a quarter of all Hind Leys students achieved the prestigious English Baccalaureate qualification. Hind Leys College is tremendously proud of ALL our students who have worked so hard to achieve these results. Alison Riggall, Chair of Governors, said that Governors are very proud of these splendid results, and we congratulate all our students – and their hardworking teachers. Students have made excellent progress and there are some outstanding individual results. Matthew Parrott, Principal, said this is another year of fantastic results for everyone at Hind Leys reflecting all the hard work of both students and staff. We are especially proud of the progress Hind Leys students make during their time with us. We now look forward to welcoming back our high achieving students as they return to Hind Leys next week to continue their studies in Post 16.
