Hind Leys Achieves Leading Parent Partnership Award Hind Leys Achieves Leading Parent Partnership Award 09/07/2015 Staff, students, governors and parents at Hind Leys College were celebrating earlier this month when the announcement was made that the College had been successful in its bid to achieve the Leading Parent Partnership Award. This prestigious, national award for schools recognises excellence in school-parent partnerships. Matthew Parrott, Principal of Hind Leys College said “This award shows that Hind Leys can be proud of all the collaborative work done by parents and governors and staff to enhance the lives of students at HLC. The process, which takes approximately 18 months, gave us the opportunity to review and improve how we engage with parents, it has meant a great deal of hard work, but we are delighted with the result. We know that a strong relationship with our parents is crucial for the success of all at Hind Leys College.” The Award demands that schools produce evidence to show their effectiveness in a range of aspects of partnership. This has included the setting up of a Parent Group which meets every term and is one of a number of ways that the College listens and responds to the views of parents. Major strengths highlighted by the assessor were the high levels of commitment shown by parents, staff and governors and the fact that the College has secure and dedicated plans for ensuring this excellent work will continue.
